Rick Hamilton
Mr. Hamilton is one of the world’s most prolific inventors with over 1,060 patents, standing just behind Thomas Edison. He has spent nearly 30 years at Fortune 50 healthcare companies and is an expert in focused ultrasound, generative AI, IP strategy, and healthcare innovation.
Hamilton was formerly a Master Inventor at IBM, where at one point he was the top inventor in company history. Before this, he was Vice President and Senior Distinguished Engineer at Optum, where he was deeply involved in UnitedHealth Group's strategic initiatives in machine learning, genomics, IoT, and cybersecurity to help people live healthier lives and improve the healthcare system.
Most recently, Mr. Hamilton has joined the Focused Ultrasound Foundation as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer, where he continues to push the boundaries of innovation in non-invasive therapeutic technologies.
